Dear Strawberry Loyalty Team,
I would like to request a freeze of my current Platinum status, in line with the once-every-five-years allowance described in the program terms.
To be honest, the complete devaluation of the loyalty program has made me seriously question its value. You've gone from having one of the best hotel loyalty programs in the Nordics to arguably the worst. The introduction of SPENN has offered no meaningful benefit to frequent travelers, and the partnership with Norwegian is irrelevant for most business travelers—many of whom are SAS Gold or Diamond members and unlikely to switch carriers.
As a result, I’ve started booking with alternatives like Scandic Hotels and OTAs such as Hotels.com. Still, I would prefer not to completely shut the door. If the program is restructured in a way that once again rewards loyalty and frequent stays, I’d like to retain my status and not have to start over.
If no improvements are coming, I can only assume that the program is now focused on another customer segment, and that frequent business travelers who also stay for pleasure from time to time are no longer a priority.
