Setting the app itself aside (which is a huge improvement), SAS has clearly done something very right here. The speed of iteration on things in it is closer to what a startup would normally manage (though not quite there of course), and way better than what you'd expect from a traditional "enterprise" business like SAS. And engaging in public communication with end-users like here is also not something we see very often from traditional businesses - yet it's something that both helps the business (in targeting the product) and the frequent users (because they feel seen, and hopefully are).
So other than @massimo and the team, also kudos to whomever at SAS realized it's OK to not do things the same way you do everything else and to actually use modern processes. SAS is, in all honesty, not a company that I expected this from. A happy surprise! There are clearly many other groups within SAS, both in IT and elsewhere, who should take a long hard look at this team and how it works.
Now that I said all that, can I have my favorite feature implemented right away? Thanks!
