SAS used to fly CPH-SEA. SAS pulled it because it didn’t work anymore. SEA later became a sort of mini-hub for DL when DL wanted to squeeze Alaska Air. Going from Europe to SEA to ski? Not unless wanting to go by land to YVR and over to Whistler/Blackcomb to ski or willing to fly elsewhere to ski. It would still be easier to go to Whistler from YVR.Håller med, en linje till The Rockies är ju mycket värt. Skall inte glömma Seattle eller Vancouver varifrån många skidorter kan nås
I’ve spent four decades of skiing primarily in Colorado — thus my having Vail Resorts’ Epic season passes even during Covid and having also had many season passes to ski Aspen/Snowmass/Buttermilk as well — and I have hit up all the big name resorts from BC in Canada down to Utah. I don’t see how the more expensive skiing environment nowadays in the American Rockies is going to sustain even a seasonal long-haul ski route from CPH. AF itself struggled to make SLC fly for it seasonally, and that was before skiflation took off like crazy. The snow conditions in the US have become far more unpredictable/unreliable than they used to be, and a long-haul seasonal ski route to the US seems like a losing gamble for SAS.
