Någon som testat MPC appen för inresa till USA ?

Bra klargörande där. Kom sist med Delta så det förklarar det.

Japp, international to international luggage transfer fungerar på fler och fler ställen.
This used to be the list where I-T-I luggage transfer sometimes worked: ATL, DFW, DET, IAH, MIA, IAD. But sometimes CBP stops doing it where it used to do it. I have seen at least two of these ports of entry stop it at some points. Is the current list of ITI US airports longer now than that years’ old list? CBP used to allow ITI also at SJU but then for a while they stopped it there. Sort of like at IAD.

They check it all the way through at Arlanda but it will commonly still require claiming at the US airport of entry for manual processing with Customs and then handing back the bag to the airline at the US port of entry/exit on say a ARN-AMS/CDG/-US-Mexico trip even when the bag is tagged all the way from ARN to Mexico.

ITI baggage handling to skip the need to claim bags at US airports of entry during international to international transits in the US has required special baggage tagging and are only applicable at a very limited number of US airports of entry. Without the proper ITI tagging, such bags will sit at the baggage belt in the customs hall until a passenger or the airline baggage handlers clear them and forward them. Latin American airports with frequent service to/via the small number of US airports that allow this are more likely to be familiar with and have such tagging capabilities at their fingertips than Is seen in Asia and Europe.

DET in the old list above was meant to be DTW.

Nä, men man måste hämta upp väskan och checka in igen.

About 2 weeks ago I got lots of complaints about MPC at ORD because of the lane organization. They followed the MPC signs and walked past the main line as signed, but then they end up in a crowd with everyone else but had an extra 50-100 people ahead of them than if they would have gone to the regular line right away since the MPC line got processed the same way anyway. The words from one group of MPC users were “it wasn’t useless, it was worse than useless”. The next two days’ groups weren’t impressed either.

I personally haven’t tried to use MPC at ORD since November, but then it was sort of the same mess as reported to me two weeks ago.

Went through on 12/23 in the evening with family of 3 with MPC with only carry-on luggage.

Kind of awkward that the MPC line just merges into the final row of the snake line in the regular US citizens lane.

Anybody know if that is permanent? Was still quite a wait to get to an agent after that, although certainly a bit better than the regular line.

Otherwise, it was fairly smooth - less than an hour from deplaning until arriving at the T2 F-concourse United Club. Not bad, considering we arrived at M40 which is literally the furthest gate from CBP, and we stopped to use the restroom on the way.

The worst part is exiting the immigration hall and trying to push through everyone to get to the train.

That area needs to be much larger and better organized

Thanks for the update. I was merged into the final row after showing my app at the end of the MPC lane. Very smooth actually. The officer asked if I had a green card and was surprised when I told him about the app, but let me through nonetheless.
