Kan detta betyda att USA öppnar upp?

Har läst igenom hela denna tråden då jag är i begrepp att boka upp en resa till Las Vegas nästa år i slutet av februari men jag börjar ju tvivla att detta kommer vara möjligt. Jag kommer nog att avvakta lite till innan jag bokar upp något, anledningen till resan är en IT konferens, det är ju dock frågan om denna kommer att hållas eller ej.

USA håller ju massor av konferenser redan nu, så själva konferensen blir säkert av...
 
Ovaccinerade kommer fortsatt att släppas in?
Oavsett så är det ju bara rekommendationer, individuella länder kan göra som de vill.

BRUSSELS, Aug 27 (Reuters) - The European Union on Friday moved to reinstate COVID travel restrictions like quarantine and testing requirements for unvaccinated citizens of the United States and five other countries, two diplomats told Reuters.

EU countries started a procedure to remove the United States from a list of countries whose citizens can travel to the 27-nation bloc without additional COVID restrictions.

The non-binding list currently has 23 countries on it, including Japan, Qatar and Ukraine, but some of the 27 EU countries already have their own limits on U.S. travellers in place.

One diplomat said other countries that would be removed from the safe travel list were Kosovo, Israel, Montenegro, Lebanon and North Macedonia.

Intressant formulering:

”The list is compiled on the basis of COVID-19 situation in each country, as well as reciprocity.”

Listan är alltså (åtminstone delvis) ett svar på att USA inte släpper in EU-medborgare.
