British Airways sänker gränsen för status i April, Maj och Juni

I gained a new status in my current membership year, so I already have it for next year regardless. Do I get an additional extension?

Yes.

For example …. if your year-end is 8th September 2020 and you qualified for Silver status in February 2020, you already have Silver status until 31st October 2021. This will be extended to 31st October 2022.

However, you would need to earn the FULL 600 tier points between 9th September 2021 and 8th September 2022 to retain your Silver status for 2023. The lower tier point thresholds only apply to membership years which end on or before 8th July 2022.

6. Note that though there is a waiver on eligible flights in the extension scenarios, you still need them for upgrading a level and for renewing that upgrade.
7. Gold Upgrade (GUF) vouchers and GGL tier point based rewards continue at the old TP levels, no reduction has been made there.

So in essence
- not everyone benefits from an extension in all circumstances, for example - and depending on the timings - you've already earned enough to qualify or have upgraded your status
- but everyone benefits from a year of reduced thresholds for one renewal.
- and everyone - except those GGLs who already have Concorde Cards - can benefit from lower threasholds for upgrade possibilities.

BA has said that it will take up to 2 weeks - so until the end of June 2020 - for your BAEC tracker, in the App or BA.com - to reflect any changes.

Den här var intressant. Enligt punkt 5, om jag tolkar det rätt, skulle jag ha åkt ner till silver eftersom jag endast hade 850 TP och mitt "Tier Point collection year" slutar den 8:e juni. Hade 560 TP bokning med Qatar i april som brann inne så jag tänkte ringa och förklara att jag var ett offer för omständigheterna och klarat mig med den sänkta gränsen Men nu upptäckte jag att guldkortet var förlängt till 31:a juli -21, men jag skall återkvala på 1500 TP

Hur länge har du varit guld? Jag har läst på andra forum att de ofta förlänger folk som missar en status de haft en längre tid även om man inte har tillräckligt med TP.

8-10 år ungefär, så det kan nog vara en förklaring. Ska iofs ringa dem i ett annat ärende, så kan jag lite försiktigt höra mig för om gränsen för återkval.

Det där skrevs ju innan BA börjat uppdatera kontona, nu när de gjort det så ser det ut som att precis ALLA får ett
år extra, samtidigt visar tydligen inga konton den lägre TP nivån för återkvalificering, BA:s kundtjänst ger förvirrade svar,
och det är ju heller inte säkert att BA är klar med uppdateringen.

Jag kan samla TP x 0,75 från och med 11 juni 2020 fram till 8 april 2022 för att behålla mitt BA Guld. Är detta rätt uppfattat?

Som Homer skriver: "British Airways:s kundtjänst ger förvirrade svar, och det är ju heller inte säkert att British Airways är klar med uppdateringen". Själv blir jag heller inte riktigt klok på vad som gäller. I ditt fall verkar det enda säkra vara att Guldet gäller till minst 31/5 -21, resten är lite dunkelt

Nja, du ska väl samla in dina TP under året 9 april 2021 till 8 april 2022 väl?
