Ja det är det bästa som finns i nuläget eftersom man slipper kliva över grannens fötter när man behöver lämna fönsterplatsen. Men det är fortfarande samma trånga och obekväma låda att sitta i. Kommer inte att sakna denna Club World. Det är två platser på en B747 som är minst dåliga. De flesta hamnar på nedre däck där man sitter 2+4+2, vilket är en usel komfort på en business klass av idag.

Friday 29 October: British Airways is continuing with the roll out of its newest business class seat, Club Suite, as it continues to retrofit the seat across its Boeing 777 fleet, with the roll out expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
The airline's sophisticated Club Suite was first rolled out in July 2019 on the first A350 and since then has been installed on the Boeing 787-10 aircraft.
As part of its commitment to the North Atlantic, all British Airways flights to JFK will be operated by an aircraft that has the airline’s Club Suite product.
As part of the upgrade, the airline’s Club Kitchen is also getting a makeover with new Club chillers and built-in storage for snacks, drinks and other refreshments, allowing customers in Club World to help themselves to refreshments at their leisure.
The latest generation of the First cabin including the introduction of the First suite door will also continue to be rolled out across the airline’s B777-300 aircraft.

During a Q&A with staff last week, it is reported that BA’s Director of Brand and Customer Experience,
Tom Stevens, admitted that the A350 layout was not working.
“It’s fair to say that some of the aircraft we have today were not designed to be crew friendly or service centric,”
Stevens told employees in the internal Q&A session.
Speaking of ‘crew friendly’ aircraft, Stevens revealed a new LOPA was in the works for BA’s fleet of A380 superjumbos. Describing the current onboard product as “pretty old”, Stevens said the A380’s would soon be undergoing a refresh which will likely involve an upgrade to the Club Suite and new First Class seats.
Cabin crew have been involved in the new design in the hope that the layout will be configured in a way that removes some of the service challenges seen on other aircraft.

Jeg fløj Chicago til London med British Airways her til aften/morgen i en Boeing 787-10 som var udstyret med Club Suites. Det er en meget markant upgrade i forhold til den gamle Club World kabine, virkelig godt sæde med god plads. Jeg sad i den forreste business class kabine på række 10 ved vinduet i højre side. Det føles meget privat når man sidder ned. Der var en hurtig servering af mad på bakke efter take-off hvilket passede mig ret godt så jeg kunne nå at sove lidt. Der var en god stor pude, en tynd madras og tæppe. Jeg sov fint og syntes sædet er komfortabelt også i senge-mode. De ter en sjov feature med døren - det ville være lige så fint at sove uden tror jeg - men lukkede den da jeg lagde mig til at sove. Jeg forudser allerede nu at min 10 årige datter vil have stor fornøjelse af at kunne lukke sig inde på den måde når vi skal rejse til Los Angeles til sommer!
Der er alt man har brug for. God plads til hand luggage og masser af rum til opbevaring ved sædet og el-udtag. Jeg syntes godt om det dejligt simple system til at justere sædet (se billedet) som fungerede godt og nemt.
Servicen om bord var god og britisk-hyggelig. Og på trods af afgang fra US hvor der stadig er krav om masker på fly og flypladser var det intet problem at sidde og sove uden maske. Alt i alt meget god flyvning og med den nye Club Suites kabine er British Airways endelig tilbage som en rigtig godt alternativ til oversøiske rejser hvor jeg har haft fravalgt dem på grund af den gamle og (syntes jeg) dårligt indrettede business kabine.
