From Manchester return:

Our recent journeys in Cathay Pacific’s Business Class have consistently impressed us with their refined comfort and privacy. Most long-haul aircraft feature a spacious main Business Class cabin, plus an intimate rear section behind the boarding door. Seat selection in Business Class, including the sought-after smaller cabin, is complimentary. Every seat transforms into a fully flat bed, providing 1.9 metres (6.25 feet) of lie-flat comfort for restful sleep.

The fleet’s Boeing 777, Airbus A350, and Airbus A330 aircraft all boast a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone layout, ensuring direct aisle access and personal space for every guest. The innovative seat design angles away from the aisle, with elegant privacy wings and plush headrests. Couples travelling together will appreciate the centre seats, which can be connected for conversation or separated for solitude with a central privacy screen.

The flagship A350 series offers a noticeably quieter cabin with mood lighting engineered to combat jet lag. The A350-900 features 38 Business Class seats, split between a larger eight-row section and a tranquil two-row mini-cabin. The larger A350-1000 houses 46 lie-flat seats in a single, elegant cabin.

The Airbus A330-300 serves up to 39 Business Class guests in select configurations, while the Boeing 777-300 provides between 40 and 53 Business Class seats across two cabins, depending on aircraft type.

Dining is a highlight, with Cathay Pacific’s curated menus available for pre-order on many routes, ensuring your preferred dish is reserved. The newspaper-style menu showcases culinary stories and photos, bringing each meal to life. Orders are taken digitally, allowing the attentive crew to address you by name and remember your preferences—offering a truly personalised, restaurant-quality experience at 35,000 feet.

Pre-departure beverages include a choice of Champagne (recently featuring Billecart-Salmon Brut or Deutz Brut Classic), water, or the signature Cathay Delight drink. Amenity kits, stocked with Bamford’s premium skincare, keep you refreshed, and soft slippers are provided. Lavatories are equipped with Bamford hand lotion and facial mist. Plush pillows and 400-thread count cotton bedding by Bamford, sourced sustainably, invite you to unwind and sleep soundly above the clouds.

T&Cs

Cathay Pacific’s award-winning lounges continue to set the benchmark for pre-flight luxury. At Hong Kong International Airport, ‘The Pier’ Business Class Lounge is a sanctuary of calm, featuring bespoke interiors, a tranquil Tea House, and the renowned Noodle Bar. Internationally, Cathay’s lounges at London Heathrow and other major hubs consistently earn high marks from frequent flyers for their elegant design, gourmet dining, and attentive service.

During our visits, we found the culinary offerings to be both diverse and of exceptional quality—from made-to-order dim sum to Western classics. The beverage options include premium teas, barista-crafted coffee, and a rotating selection of top-tier wines and spirits. Ample workspaces, private shower suites, and quiet zones ensure productivity and relaxation for business and leisure travellers alike.

Access is included for Business Class and eligible oneworld alliance passengers, providing a seamless, indulgent start to every journey.

Premium Economy Sale!

Cathay Pacific’s Premium Economy cabin is consistently ranked among the world’s finest, now available at special fares from London Heathrow and Manchester.

What Defines Premium Economy?

Launched as a sophisticated alternative to standard Economy, Premium Economy bridges the gap with enhanced comfort, greater personal space, and priority services. It’s ideal for discerning travellers and families seeking superior value on long-haul flights.

As airlines have streamlined First Class, Premium Economy has become the preferred choice for those desiring upgraded amenities—richer menus, advanced inflight entertainment, and thoughtful amenity kits—without the full Business Class price point. While lounge access and private suites remain exclusive to higher cabins, Premium Economy guests enjoy expedited boarding and a noticeably upgraded experience.
