Emily in Paris is a Netflix sensation with something of a cult following. With three successful series, a fourth is on its way!

The basis of the series is that Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) makes an unexpected move from Chicago to the French capital, working in a marketing firm to bring them an American perspective. The hotel's famous Haute Couture Suite featured in the first series - episode seven - when Emily looks after an actress. The Suite boasts incredible views of the iconic Eiffel Tower, framed perfectly in the Suite's picture-frame window. The hotel's chic lobby, La Galerie and Le Bar also feature.

Ristorante Terra Nera - Used as the backdrop in the series for Gabriel's restaurant, known in the show as "Les Deux Compères".

Ristorante Terra Nera is an Italian Bistro serving delicious Italian risotto, pasta, pizzas and morish desserts. The bistro is situated in Place de l'Estrapade, a chic square in the Latin quarter of Paris in the 5th arrondissement. The square has a picturesque fountain and is also the fictional home of Emily and Gabriel.

Café de Flore

Café de Flore – Emily meets Thomas at Café de Flore in Season 1, Episode 6.

Café de Flore in the 6th arrondissement is one of the oldest coffee houses in Paris, having first opened in 1880, and is known for its history of illustrious clientele. 

Famous writers, philosophers, actors and designers, including Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Fonda, Brigitte Bardot and Yves Saint-Laurent, have all graced this charming café.

Le Grand Véfour

Le Grand Véfour – Seen in Episode 4 of the first series when Emily fails to secure a table.

Le Grand Véfour is a two-Michelin-starred restaurant run by Guy Martin. It has been among the finest gourmet restaurants for over 200 years, including in its previous iteration Café de Chartres. The restaurant is located next to Le Jardin du Palais Royale. Try the rabbit or duck foie gras terrine.

Café de l'Homme

Café de l'Homme - Used for the perfume launch party with spectacular night-time terrace views of the golden-lit Eiffel Tower.

Café de l'Homme is in the Trocadéro inside the Palais de Chaillot – formerly the headquarters of NATO- in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The café serves authentic French cuisine, including delicious foie gras and Charles Heidsieck Champagne.

Pont Alexandre III

Pont Alexandre III – The ornate bridge spanning the river Seine connecting the 7th and 8th arrondissements between the Esplanade des Invalides and the Grand Palais and Petit Palais. The bridge features four gilt bronze sculptures of winged horses.

The bridge featured in Season 1, Episode 3, during an advertising campaign for the new perfume De l'heure.

The Palace Garnier

The Palace Garnier – Created in 1875, and the inspirational setting for the world-renowned Phantom of the Opera, the Palais Garnier opera house boasts a grand Italian-style auditorium, a museum library, rehearsal studios and public areas. The auditorium houses 2,054 spectators and has been listed as a historical monument since 1923. The Palais Garnier is one of the most visited monuments in Paris.

The Palais Garnier is featured in Season 1, Episode 6, when Emily and Thomas watch Swan Lake. It is seen again when Sylvie attends a gala performance.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Jardin du Luxembourg – The expansive ornate gardens of the 17th-century Palais de Luxembourg today is home to the French Senate. The beautiful floral park of French and English gardens spans some 25 hectares and contains a central pond, fountains, statues and monuments. Extremely popular with Parisians looking for relaxation, the Jardin du Luxembourg is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.

Just a short distance from Place de l'Estrapade in the Latin Quarter where Emily lives, we see Emily jogging through the park in the second episode.

Musée des Arts Forains

Musée des Arts Forains – A private museum of vintage funfair and fairground heritage objects preserved, restored and displayed for organised tours, private conventions, gala dinners, award ceremonies and many other celebrations. The displays are located in ancient wine warehouses of the Pavillons de Bercy in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.

The Musée des Arts Forains is featured in Episode 7 of the show to host a Fourtier party.

Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, Four Seasons, features in episode two when Emily, intending to stay at the hotel with her boyfriend, instead finds herself alone on the French Riviera and invites her friends Mindy and Camille to join her.

Shangri-La Paris

The Shangri-La Paris holds both Monument Historique status and Palace distinction – having been the former residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte, the great nephew of Napoleon. Le Café Marly

Le Café Marly – The Season 2 opener sees Emily meeting Camille and Sylvie for lunch, with the famous Louvre pyramid in the background.

This Parisian upscale brasserie is beneath the open-aired arches of the Louvre Museum, with indoor seating also available. Dishes include fresh grilled fish and meats with seasonal vegetables.

La Coupole

La Coupole – Where Emily and Alfie discuss their relationship issues before Emily departs, not knowing where she stands with him.

This famed art deco brasserie was founded in 1927 during the Roaring Twenties and has had a who's who of esteemed guests from Patti Smith, Jane Birkin, Pablo Picasso and French Prime Minister François Mitterrand. The restaurant serves traditional French cuisine and is located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

Tortuga Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann

Tortuga Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann - This is the rooftop restaurant in episode 5, where Emily finds the courage to discuss with Camille her relationship with Gabriel.

This rooftop high-end gourmet fish-centric restaurant is the perfect al fresco dining destination, with stunning views overlooking the Palais Garnier Opera House and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The seasonal, local and exclusively wild produce includes tartar, carpaccio, dried or marinated, and grilled fish dishes.

Père Lachaise Cemetery

Père Lachaise Cemetery – Regarded as one of the most visited cemeteries in the world. The resting place of notable figures, including Oscar Wilde, Édith Piaf, Frédérick Chopin, Marcel Proust, Marcel Marceau and frontman of The Doors, Jim Morrison, who, in 1971, died in Paris aged 27. The cemetery is the largest in Paris, spanning nearly 45 hectares, with graves believed to date as far back as 1142.

The famed cemetery features in Emily's birthday episode when Emily and Luc sit beside the grave of art critic Honoré de Balzac for lunch.

Palace of Versailles

Palace of Versailles – Spread over 800 hectares, the Palace of Versailles is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world and dates back to the 17th century. The origin was a hunting lodge for King XIII, and later expanded over time by his son King Louis XIV into a grand palace and became the seat of power until the French Revolution. Today, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre with staggering architecture and artefacts of importance from French history.

The Palace of Versailles was used in series 2 when Emily attends a fashion show in the most famous grand halls of the palace, The Hall of Mirrors.

Hotel Molitor Paris

Hotel Molitor Paris

First opened in 1929, the Molitor was a popular destination for Parisians due to its renowned swimming baths. As its popularity grew, it quickly became the go-to place to meet for socialising and events such as bathing beauty contests and artist's galas. Having closed in 1989 and listed as a historic building, the hotel became a haven for the underground art scene and the structure a giant mural of graffiti by some of the best-known street artists of today.

Following a massive restoration, the 5-star resort reopened in 2014 with restored swimming pools, 124 rooms and suites and a luxury Clarins Spa.

In the third series, Emily is poolside, enjoying cocktails and chatting with her friend Mindy as they lounge in the sunshine on deckchairs.

As an aside, the famous swimming pool also featured in Yann Martel's novel “Life of Pi” - and appeared in the film of the same name!

Four Seasons Hotel George V

Four Seasons Hotel George V

Chez Julien  - Featured in Season 3 when Emily and Mindy, dining at another table, overhear an argument between Sofia and Camille.

Le Jules Verne restaurant – This stunning restaurant is the setting of the argument between Sylvie, Madeline and Emily.

With spectacular views across Paris, Le Jules Verne is located 125 metres from the ground on the second floor of the world-famous Eiffel Tower. Triple Michelin-starred chef Frédéric Anton and his team deliver refined cuisine with a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and exquisite wines.

The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre

The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre – Also known in its simple form as Sacré-Coeur, is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica perched 200 metres above the River Seine with sweeping views overlooking the entire city of Paris and its suburbs. A popular Paris tourist destination, the bell tower and dome are the second-highest points in Paris behind the Eiffel Tower.

The Sacré-Coeur is used twice in the series, once at the start of episode four when Emily was enjoying time as an 'influencer' and the second when she was helping Gabriel choose a suitable location to propose to Camille.

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower – One of the most iconic and most visited monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower was built to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution. The peak of the wrought-iron tower stands 330 metres from the ground (including modern antennas) and took over two years to construct, finally completed in 1889. The Eiffel Tower comprises three levels and contains a museum, glass floor and viewing platforms, souvenir shops and restaurants.

Views of the Eiffel Tower feature numerous times during the show's series. Still, it is only in Series 3 that Emily visits the tower itself and can be seen in the second-floor Le Jules Verne restaurant (as previously described).
