Oetker Collection to debut in the United States and Mandarin Oriental in Kuwait

The Oetker Collection—renowned for curating ultra-luxury icons such as The Lanesborough, London and Jumby Bay Island, West Indies—is poised to open its inaugural U.S. property in Palm Beach, Florida, solidifying its standing among the world’s elite hotel operators.

Slated as the twelfth Masterpiece Hotel, The Vineta Hotel occupies a storied location in Palm Beach’s vibrant core, moments from sun-drenched beaches and the prestigious boutiques, restaurants, and galleries of Worth Avenue.

This nearly century-old architectural gem, formerly known as The Chesterfield, is being meticulously restored to its original Vineta identity—a name synonymous with Palm Beach glamour for over fifty years. The property’s comprehensive transformation includes a full-scale interior redesign that blends timeless elegance with contemporary luxury. Guest accommodations will be reduced from 53 to 41, offering increased space, privacy, and comfort for discerning travelers.

The legendary Leopard Lounge, once a magnet for celebrities and local tastemakers, will be reimagined as a lively dining destination for both relaxed lunches and vibrant evening gatherings. The hotel’s courtyard is set to deliver an exquisite al fresco ambiance, while new Mediterranean-inspired indoor-outdoor dining concepts and an intimate, design-forward bar promise to elevate Palm Beach’s culinary and social scene.

Meanwhile, Mandarin Oriental has revealed plans for its first luxury address in Kuwait, with a highly anticipated opening scheduled for 2028.

Strategically positioned in Kuwait’s financial district, Mandarin Oriental, Kuwait, will be housed within an iconic 80-story skyscraper featuring world-class retail and entertainment venues at its base. The hotel will be just 20 minutes by car from Kuwait International Airport, offering panoramic views of the downtown skyline.

The property will comprise 159 guest rooms, 33 suites, and 10 serviced apartments, all designed to Mandarin Oriental’s exacting standards. Culinary offerings will include a signature fine-dining restaurant, an all-day dining venue, a poolside eatery, and a sophisticated lobby lounge with a Mandarin Cake Shop, as well as an exclusive club lounge and a chic shisha terrace.

Wellness facilities will be extensive, featuring eight private spa suites, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, and an outdoor landscaped pool deck for relaxation and recreation.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group continues to set the benchmark for luxury hospitality, operating acclaimed hotels, resorts, and residences across 24 countries and territories, including flagship properties such as Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London
