Hyatt Announces The Opening Of Its 1,000th Hotel

More than six decades after Jay Pritzker opened the doors to the first Hyatt hotel in Los Angeles, the globally renowned hospitality group has reached a historic achievement: the debut of its 1,000th property, Alila Napa Valley. Nestled within the storied vineyards of the Beringer Estate, this intimate 68-room retreat under the Alila brand exemplifies modern luxury in the heart of California’s celebrated wine region.

Designed for discerning travelers, Alila Napa Valley features the acclaimed Acacia House restaurant, a stylish bar, a heated outdoor pool, Spa Alila, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The region is famed for its legendary wineries, such as Opus One and Screaming Eagle, drawing oenophiles from around the world.

During our recent stay, we discovered that a visit to Alila is incomplete without an exclusive tasting at one of the nearby boutique wineries, where expert sommeliers guide guests through exceptional vintages.

Located just minutes from the vibrant town of St. Helena—affectionately regarded as “Napa Valley’s Main Street”—guests have access to a curated selection of gourmet restaurants, artisanal producers, and, naturally, world-class wine shops.

Napa Valley continues to set the benchmark for luxury hospitality with a distinguished collection of hotels, including the Bardessono Hotel and Spa, Auberge du Soleil, and the Hotel Yountville. Nearby, culinary enthusiasts can reserve a table at The French Laundry, the legendary three Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by chef Thomas Keller.

Reservations are now open at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, which has quickly become a sought-after destination in Calistoga. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and featuring its own working winery, the resort continues to receive accolades for its immersive wine experiences.

For those seeking a unique perspective of the valley, we recommend a sunrise hot air balloon flight—an unforgettable way to take in the lush landscape and iconic wineries from above.
