Dorchester Collection to open luxury hotel in Japan's highest building

Dorchester Collection is elevating its global presence with the debut of an exclusive hotel in Tokyo’s Torch Tower—soon to be Japan’s tallest skyscraper. Slated for a grand opening in 2028, this property will mark Dorchester Collection’s highly anticipated entry into the Asian market, bringing its signature hospitality to Japan’s dynamic capital.

Situated in the vibrant Marunouchi district and adjacent to Tokyo Station, Torch Tower is designed as a new icon for the city and a centerpiece for international and domestic travelers. Upon completion, the soaring 390-meter tower will redefine Tokyo’s skyline. Dorchester Collection will occupy the tower’s uppermost floors (levels 57 through 61), offering guests unrivaled 360-degree vistas that sweep from the city’s glittering core to Tokyo Bay and, on clear days, all the way to Mount Fuji.

With a legacy of managing some of the world’s most prestigious hotels and residences, Dorchester Collection currently operates acclaimed properties in London, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Los Angeles. The group expanded to the Middle East with The Lana Dubai, which opened in 2023, and now prepares to introduce its bespoke service ethos to Japan’s luxury hospitality scene.
