In one of the most highly anticipated openings of the year, Aman New York is finally welcoming guests to its 730 Fifth Avenue address. Sitting on the corner of 57th Street and Fifth Avenue, the Aman New York experience begins at the hotel lobby, located on the 14th floor of the iconic Crown Building - that was built in 1921. The hotel features 83 suites - and 22 branded residences.
Aman New York is packed with facilities. The Aman Spa is a whopping 2,300 square metres and features a 20-metre indoor swimming pool, Banya, Hammam, hot & cold plunge pools, two Spa Houses with double treatment rooms and private outdoor terraces.
The hotel restaurants include Arva - a lively Italian and Nama - a Japanese washoku dining room which features a Japanese Hinoki wood counter for omakase-style fine dining. There is also a Wine Library. With 650-square-metres of outdoor space - with a retracting roof - the Garden Terrace is accessible all year round. With its Jazz Club, Aman New York is hoping to attract some of the finest musicians in the world to play to, what they hope will be, packed audiences.
Aman is a Sanskrit word for "peace". The 83 suites are located high above street level - "peace" for the guests from the hubbub below! Every suite offers fabulous views over Manhattan. They all boast a functioning fireplace, while bathrooms are huge with oval soaking bathtubs, marble rain showers and double sinks. The eleven Grand Suites are aimed at families with additional bedrooms, living and dining areas and kitchenettes. Each suite also features a sizeable mural by contemporary Japanese artist Ryoko Adachi.
