Key transport hubs—Manchester Victoria, Piccadilly, and Oxford Road stations—are easily accessible, as is the city’s efficient Metro Link system.

Manchester Airport is conveniently located approximately 14 kilometres from the hotel, with transfers averaging 30 minutes, and Liverpool John Lennon Airport is around 51 kilometres away. The concierge team can arrange luxury private transfers, bespoke sightseeing excursions, and seamless luggage handling upon request.

Secure on-site parking is available, complemented by additional spaces at Q-Park for added convenience.

Service & Facilities

With just 40 rooms and suites, plus a breathtaking penthouse, the Stock Exchange Hotel offers flexibility for families, groups, or exclusive buyouts. Each accommodation category is named after the visionary architects behind the 1906 building—Bradshaw, Gass, and Hope—reflecting the hotel’s deep respect for its roots.

Guest rooms are designed with an upscale residential sensibility, blending contemporary custom furnishings with preserved period details. Expect hardwood floors, rich textiles, and a sophisticated, muted palette accented by signature British Racing Green. Every room features plush bathrobes, luxury D R Harris toiletries, flat-screen TVs, Nespresso machines, and Sky Sports access.

Entry-level rooms (John Gass Collection) offer up to 25 sqm of refined space, while the Arthur Hope Collection expands to 35 sqm and adds perks like a mini-bar, blackout drapes, and smart TVs. The Bradshaw Collection boasts up to 42 sqm, full bathrooms, and both bath and separate walk-in showers.

Suites in the Kent Collection offer 46 sqm of open-plan elegance and BT Sports for enthusiasts. The Norfolk Suite Collection provides 55 sqm, featuring a separate lounge and private terrace. The two signature suites—The Goldstone Suite (a two-bedroom, 106 sqm residence with kitchenette and spacious living/dining areas) and The Boardroom Suite (a 171 sqm historical showpiece with original marble columns, panelled walls, and stained glass)—set the standard for luxury. The Boardroom Suite is ideal for entertaining, with a private staircase, fitness area, and grand master bath with steam shower and soaking tub.

The pinnacle of accommodation is The House, a 346 sqm exclusive penthouse with a private rooftop terrace showcasing panoramic Manchester views. Designed for both short and extended stays, The House includes three ensuite bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, dual lounges, a fitness room, bar, and an expansive dining area.

Accessibility is a priority, with adapted rooms and bathrooms available. The hotel warmly welcomes children, providing mini robes, slippers, bedtime books, and fresh-baked cookies and milk for younger guests.

Style

The Stock Exchange Hotel distinguishes itself with a Residents Lounge and a suite of bespoke services tailored for discerning guests, including in-room beauty treatments, personal stylists, and tailored shopping. Complimentary access to over 100 digital publications is provided via the hotel’s proprietary app, and private dining can be arranged for special occasions.

The property’s curated art collection, overseen by fine arts consultant Ruth Davies, connects guests to the building’s illustrious heritage. Original, hand-tinted photographs and rare memorabilia—including guest cards, invitations, and a unique archive of menus spanning from 1906 to the 1970s—offer a tangible link to Manchester’s social history.

Guests receive complimentary membership to GSquared, Manchester’s most advanced fitness club, covering 1,000 sqm of innovative workout space. Facilities include an indoor running track, CV Garden cardio zone, 20-metre sled track, and a challenging indoor assault course. The club combines expert trainers with cutting-edge equipment, making fitness both enjoyable and effective—an amenity especially valued by today’s health-conscious luxury travellers.

Restaurants & Bars

The Stock Exchange Hotel stands as a beacon of boutique sophistication in northern England. Its restoration, led by JM Architects and the acclaimed Autoban studio, preserves the building’s ornate Edwardian features while introducing a refined, minimalist aesthetic that appeals to modern sensibilities.

The interiors are defined by a calm, masculine palette, contemporary furniture with a hint of retro flair, and thoughtful touches such as mirrored concierge desks inspired by the building’s original cashier counters. The interplay of black-and-white marble, bespoke detailing, and subtle nods to the site’s trading legacy—down to the peg-inspired room numbers—demonstrates an unwavering commitment to authentic design.

The hotel is the brainchild of former Manchester United icons Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, alongside seasoned hotelier Winston Zahra. Their collective experience at the pinnacle of global hospitality is evident in every aspect of the guest experience. Their personal connection to Manchester brings a sense of pride and purpose to the property, ensuring it ranks among the city’s most distinctive addresses.

Sustainability

Guests at the Stock Exchange Hotel enjoy a refined à la carte breakfast, featuring highlights such as smoked salmon bagels, Burford Brown eggs, and wild mushrooms on toasted sourdough, complemented by a curated selection of morning cocktails. While the property no longer operates a signature restaurant (the Bull & Bear, previously helmed by Tom Kerridge, has closed), the hotel’s culinary offering has been reinvigorated under Executive Chef Niall Keating since 2024, bringing a new level of innovation and finesse to the menu.

Sterling, the sophisticated bar beneath the hotel, offers an impressive array of vintage spirits, rare wines, expertly crafted cocktails, and gourmet small plates, often accompanied by live music. For intimate events, The Bank private dining room provides a discreet, elegant setting for exclusive gatherings.

Chef Keating’s influence is already making waves in Manchester’s dining scene, promising a continued evolution of the hotel’s gastronomic identity into 2025 and beyond.
