A Businessclass Verified Hotel
Hotel Lutetia, a crown jewel among Parisian luxury hotels, commands the Rive Gauche with its storied Art Nouveau architecture and unrivaled pedigree. Established in 1910 to accommodate the elite patrons of nearby Le Bon Marché, this legendary address has become the only grand palace hotel on Paris’s Left Bank. Following a meticulous four-year restoration led by world-renowned architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the Lutetia reopened its doors in 2018, unveiling a masterful blend of historic grandeur and contemporary Parisian flair. Every detail, from hand-restored frescoes and stained glass to custom mosaics, has been faithfully revived by artisans from across the globe.
The Lutetia’s 184 rooms, including eight iconic signature suites, epitomize understated elegance. Interiors are bathed in tranquil, neutral palettes, complemented by smoked oak flooring, Murano glass accents, and bespoke furnishings. Bathrooms feature opulent Carrara marble, while select accommodations boast fluted wood paneling and private balconies with panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower or Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Room sizes span from the spacious 33-square-metre Grand Superior Room to the opulent 169-square-metre Presidential Carré Rive Gauche Suite with Terrace, designed in partnership with local art dealers to reflect the neighborhood’s creative spirit. Each suite is a curated homage: the Joséphine Baker Suite dazzles with a mural celebrating the jazz icon; the Suite Parisienne by Isabelle Huppert channels the actress’s refined aesthetic; and the Saint Germain Penthouse by Coppola showcases cinematic memorabilia from Francis Ford Coppola. The Eiffel Penthouse, with its sinuous curves and 74-square-metre terrace accessed by a sweeping marble staircase, offers an unforgettable vantage point over Paris’s skyline.
Dining at Hotel Lutetia is a celebration of Parisian gastronomy. The celebrated Brasserie Lutetia, helmed by Executive Chef Patrick Charvet, serves inventive French classics with a modern twist, sourcing ingredients from the city’s top producers. Le Saint-Germain, beneath a kaleidoscopic glass dome, is the destination for all-day dining and refined afternoon teas. Bar Joséphine, adorned with floor-to-ceiling murals and inspired by the hotel’s legendary guest, offers signature cocktails and a lively ambiance. For an intimate evening, Bar Aristide evokes an exclusive members’ club, featuring soulful electro-jazz performances every Thursday. Wellness seekers are drawn to the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre, which encompasses a serene 17-metre pool, six treatment suites, a traditional Hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi, and a 100-square-metre fitness studio offering personalized classes from yoga to high-intensity training.
