US Aiways Dividend Miles buy

I just wanted to utilise the great knowledge that is out here and check that I fully unterstood the opportunites with the purchase of US Airways Miles.

I am planning to buy 100.000 US Miles in the current campaign. My plan is to travel to Australia sometime either over X-mas 2013 or beginning 2014. I am also travelling to JNB via ZRH on LX over this X-mas. This journey is booked in Z class. I was goind to credit these to US Airways, this should then get me pretty close to the 120.000 miles needed to travel to Australia in C.

So my questions: Is it correct that you only need 120.000 miles to Australia for an US award in C. Did I understand the zones correct on the US airways homepage?

Furthermore I have checked on Expertflyer and there seems to be generally good availability for TG award tickets on the routes to Australia. Are those places available for general *A award or just for TG FFP?

Ja, 120.000 US miles för bonusresa mellan Europa och Oceanien i Business class.

De är också tillgängliga för andra Star Alliance FFP(inkl. US Airways Dividend Miles).
 
Yes 120,000 USDM miles in C(I) from Europe to Australia.
Avilability on TG is usually rather goodfor USDM redemptions.

Har verkligen satt mig in USDM och skaffat mig tillräckligt med poäng för en resa i F till norra Asien. Vill verkligen uppleva LH F men det verkar blir svårt tyvärr. Först ändrade LH eller US så att man bara gavs möjlighet att boka i F 14 dagar innan resedatumet med USDM (som många här på BC redan har bekräftat). Ringde US Airways och ville kolla om dom blockat LH F helt och det verkade så. Gjorde några försök där ANA tool visade 3 platser med LH i F men US agenten kunde inte se något tyvärr. TRIST!!!

Ja, det är trist att US Airways Dividend Miles kör så kallad "Starnet Blocking" mot sina medlemmar.
Hittills har det varit endast Lufthansa och SWISS flygningar. Man hoppas att de inte utökar blocking mot andra flygbolag som THAI.
 
Jag ser inget på flyertalk som skulle bekräfta att LH helt blockar F bokningar för USDM. Vet ju att Jumbooze gjorde en resa i LH F för så sent som en dryg vecka sedan, så det skulle isåfall vara något helt nytt.
