Bokade 6 nätter på Hilton Pattaya i Juni som jag tycker är lågsäsong i Pattaya, kostade 40,000 per natt men från idag kostade 41,000 per natt, inte så stor skillnad men hade hoppats det skulle gått ner lite vilket inte blev fallet. (min bokning blev total 199k poäng istället för 240k pga Hiltons rabatt när man bokar 5 nätter i rad)

Om man delbetalar med poäng slipper man tydligen serviceavgiften på hotell där de tar ut sådan.
Let’s take Conrad Tokyo as an example. On the 13th March it looks like this:
Cash rate (Member Best Flex): Yen 34,300 + 9% tax + 15% service charge
Points: 59,000 points
Smallest ‘points and money’ option: Yen 31,375 + 5,000 points + 9% tax + NO service charge
In this example, I redeem 5,000 points and I save Yen 3,188 including tax on the rate PLUS I save Yen 5,145 because I don’t pay any service charge! This means a total saving of Yen 8,333 (£59) for spending 5,000 points. This is an excellent return.

I am not personally sure if I like this change or not. The sample above indicates that on average for these hotels and the August dates, the price using points has gone down and often significantly.
My personal use of points is different, however. I only use them when the paid rates are very expensive and using points makes most sense. As long as Hilton Honors keeps the previous category maximums in place and don’t move hotels up in award categories that are supposedly abolished, this change is mostly non-event for me.

Allt för att få in lite stays till min Diamond challenge.

Kollade på min bokning nu inför kvällens natt och nu står det 1890kr + 29000 poäng inne på hiltons sida.
När jag bokade om så var det enbart 29000 poäng, det står som tur är på min bekräftelse...
Är det ett känt fel eller kommer de vilja debitera mig även 1890kr?
Kanske är ett dåligt aprilskämt men känns inte så
