Upgrad , SriLankan Airline’s latest value added service offers you the opportunity to indulge in Business Class comforts. All you have to do is to place your bid online after purchasing your ticket and stand a chance to obtain an upgrade.


How to apply
Any Economy Class ticket-holder bound to any SriLankan operated international destination can place a bid online 72hrs before departure. Go to the webpage and fill in the e-form with accurate details. Review and submit your bid for an upgrade. The payment has to be made through credit card and if the offer is accepted the passenger will be billed for the upgrade. The confirmation will be sent to the passenger via email between 72 and 48hrs prior to departure.
In the instances where an upgrade is not possible, the previous booking will remain valid and nothing will be charged from the ticket-holder..
With upgrad, an upgrade is just a few clicks away!

Yes you will earn Miles for the upgrade in keeping with the normal Flysmiles accrual guidelines.

Det är också intressant att man tjänar miles enligt uppgraderad kabins intjäning.
Uppgradering t ex mellan Bangkok och Beijing ger 140 Tier Points istället för 35 Tier Points i Low Economy, när SriLankan har blivit oneworldmedlem.
 
Lade just ett bud på upgrade sträckan LHR-CMB (i A332) på €350. Återstår att se om det accepteras, i övrigt en smidig och bra feature.

Det här var intressant. Speciellt då jag blivit sugen på att resa till Sri Lanka. Ni som testar på funktionen får gärna rapportera vad ni bjöd och om det blev accepterat :)

Nej ingen återkoppling på budet. Det var fullsmockat i båda klasserna. Maten i eco var oväntat bra men IFE och stol från annan tidsera. Hade även förmånen att testa deras A340 på CMB-MAA, varm måltid på en flygning som inte varade längre än 1h20min (i eco!). Men den kanske trevligaste överraskningen var ändå att jag erhöll dubbla miles till mitt BAEC konto. Detta eftersom UL nyligen gick med i OneWorld, vilket jag hade missat. Överlag är jag nöjd trots att budet inte gick igenom.

Fick precis min uppgradering bekräftad:)! Flyger mellan Singapore och Colombo i morgon. Efter några flygningar i ekonomiklass de senaste dagarna i Malaysia så fick jag nästan panik och bestämde mig för att uppgradera. Betalade nog för mycket men ville vara på säkra sidan och betalade 250$. Är det någon som flugit shorthaul med Srilankan Airlines?
