Med risk för att jinxa så noterar jag att jag aldrig inte blivit uppgraderad på Comfort Arlanda.

Uppgraderad i appen dagen innan. Trevligt bemötande i receptionen. Överlag fint rum med utsikt men något slitet. Tyvärr lämnade även städningen övrigt att önska.

Åter igen så blev jag uppgraderad, såg i appen i början av veckan (bodde på helgen) att jag hade blivit uppflyttad. Så 3 gånger av 3 har jag blivit uppgraderad. Bra jobbat Comfort hotell.

Jag och döttrarna tog en taktisk övernattning på resan till LA. 09.50 redan på ARN, eller 06.00 från LLA (med avresa 2h tidigare från hemmet) är inte ett så svårt val.

Moderate Single bookings seem to have the worst upgrade chances for the NCC Gold and Platinum members on those accounts I access. Even on November and December 2021 nights when the hotels were not busy and there were plenty of higher category rooms available, the Malmo NCC hotels in particular have been very poor about upgrading Gold and Platinum members with "Moderate Single" bookings. The "no-upgrade" outcome has taken place on so many of the "Moderate Single" bookings this month at the Malmo hotels, that it has me thinking something is wrong with the how the hotel staff are assigning rooms.

Grundproblemet med uppgraderingspolicyn är att den hanteras lokalt, utan systemstöd. Om det sedan är enskilda medarbetare som gör fel eller om lokala chefer skapar egna uppgraderingspolicy vet jag inte, men fel blir det. Nordic Choice centralt lovar en sak, hotellen gör lite som de vill.

Uppgraderingar som Platinum på Nordic Choice är en garanterad förmån, finns bättre rum när man bokar så ska man uppgraderas till det. Att det efterföljs dåligt är vi ju dock rätt medvetna om. Det handlar som sagt inte om bokningsläge vid checkin utan vid bokning.
