The upgrade to Business Flex is more interesting, as the points pricing is almost doubled whilst the taxes and fees are virtually halved. This is great for points-rich American credit card holders who are showered in points just for sneezing, but less so in the UK and Europe where accruing points is more challenging.

(Given that Flying Blue has been very public about chasing money from the US credit card transfer market, this is not a sarcastic comment. It is a stated part of the Flying Blue strategy.)

Förutsatt att man har status får man ju fortfarande lounge och väskor som tidigare (möjligtsvis att delta one inte längre släpper in en om man flyger exempelvis AF JFK-CDG), så den enda försämringen är flexibilitet. Och om detta leder till bättre tillgänglighet behöver det inte vara så negativt. Dock finns ju risken att tillgängligheten förblir oförändrad.

Man ska ju inte låtsas att detta är en "enhancement", men indirekt så blir ju värdet av status större iochmed detta.
