Förändringar av Club Europe Catering från 12:e sept. 2018

"From September 12* the airline will introduce new menus with improved recipes and signature warm breads. There’s also a commitment to provenance, with dishes developed around key British ingredients. Launch options will include shaved Herefordshire roast beef on a tartar cream with rocket, British Reared Pork sausage and mash and a celebration of British chesses.

On the airline’s longer short haul flights to destinations such as Faro, customers will now have the choice of two hot options and one cold. Menus on flights to and from Heathrow will also be changed twice a month, rather than monthly.

As well as enhanced food, the airline will also be refining the beverages on offer, with new wines served in quarter bottles and coffee provided by British speciality roaster, Union Hand-Roasted coffee."

From what I’ve seen, there will be no difference between Band 3 & 4 from September 12th onwards. The “rest of the day” service in both cases will consist of a pre-meal bar round with a snack, followed by a meal service which consists of a single tray with all the course elements on it.

This is partly to streamline the service (it was taking too long on some of the shorter “Long” flights with very high Club loads, and sometimes impossible on the Madrid 777 Service with a full First and CW Cabin) - and partly because the newly densified Airbus aircraft will simply not have the space to accommodate all the equipment needed for the current Long and Long Long service with Club at maximum occupancy.

That’s the word on the street anyway !
