Diskussion om drönare nära flygplatser

Kan folk bara sluta flyga dessa jäkla drönare där de inte ska flygas. De är väl även spärrade för att inte kunna flyga inom ett visst avstånd från en flygplats. Så piloten av drönaren har medvetet kommit runt detta även fast systemet ej tillåter det.
 
Ja, och det har tydligen flygits drönare hela dagen kring Gatwick idag, har en polare som sitter fast där. Det här är medvetet sabotage.
 
Hoppas de fångar personen och inte bara sätter hen i fängelse i 5 år utan även stämmer skiten ur hen och kanske även företaget som tillverkade eländet. Class action lawsuit anyone...
 
Enligt min polare på flygplatsen är det 7 drönare som flygit i omgångar, det har gömt sig så fort polishelikoptrar dykt upp,
Polisen kan/vågar inte skjuta pga risk för "nederbörd". Militären är nu inkallad för att skjuta ner drönarna
 
Intressant om det stämmer, måste väl gå att spåra om de styrts med sändare?



"The usual practice (when a drone is spotted) is to suspend flights for half-an-hour, which is the usual battery lifespan for drones," explained Parker,
a former Royal Airforce fighter pilot and head of drone training company Flyby Technology.

But in the case of Gatwick, "whoever is responsible for this has had several batteries and have brought their drones back to the ground to put new batteries on them," he said.


The drones used to disrupt flights at Gatwick are believed to be of an "industrial specification," according to Sussex Police.
This means that a device is not an off-the-shelf consumer drone, but something bigger or more complex, or perhaps expertly home-made, explained Lewis Whyld, CNN's drone operator and photojournalist.
He added that drones can have huge ranges, with some of the more powerful ones controlled from up to 10 miles (16 kilometers) away.

Drones don't necessarily need an operator, added Whyld. They could be pre-programmed to follow a route using GPS, he said.

Sussex Police say they are investigating "a number of persons of interest" and the possibility that "particular groups" are involved. It follows reports suggesting that environmental protesters were involved in the drone activity.

Whitehall sources said police were investigating the possibility a ‘lone wolf’ eco-terrorist was behind the attack. “An eco-protest is at this stage a definite line of inquiry,” said the source.
