Business Tickets Giving Less Points than Economy?

Felipe

Hey all, I'm planning a trip to Bali and wondering how to best get there. Getting as many Level Points as possible is important for me since this trip will be essential into reaching EBD level. I was surprised while running some simulations today to see that the business tickets are giving less points than economy. Is this a bug on the website or is it indeed the case? Look at it:

Keep that screenshot in case you book economy standard/flex.

Here you have SAS' own tables regarding earnings so you can make your own calculations:
The calculator has sometimes been unavailable for codeshare flights, presumably because it has not always been reliable. Your screenshot makes a case for SAS removing the calculator again. The earnings for business tickets look very much like the numbers SAS CPH-AMS segment only, with 0 coming out of the calculator for the two Garuda segments. 0 is not correct for revenue tickets.

Interesting. I know that each partner has a different table and you can check the table for the different booking classes her for each partner airline here: https://www.sas.se/eurobonus/partners/flygbolag/?filter=earn
But this applies when booking directly with those airlines and adding your EB account to their ticket. Is it the same when you buy directly with SAS and the flight is operated by partners or should I then use the "SAS" official table and not the partners?

Refer to the SAS codeshare chart for SK-marketed flights operated by a SkyTeam partner. You'll find it at the very bottom of the page.

Crazy how I never saw that table, and I've accessed that page many times ‍
Thanks!

In theory business can generate less points because it depends on the booking class available. But I would not trust the website, press ”ticket information” there you can see the booking class and check the table. Or use https://reseassistenten.se/tools/eurobonus-calculator

This calculator use those specific charts. Just making life easier :)
