News, one-way awards with Star Alliance from October 6th!

We are introducing one-way awards when you fly with Star alliance 27 member airlines and at the same time adjusted the prices, just a little. Effective on all awards booked from October 6th, 2012.

Travel in comfort and style

You can book First Class award flights on following member airlines, Air Canada, Air China, ANA, EgyptAir, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, Thai Airways, TAM and United. Check Star Alliance award chart for information about prices.
Important facts to read before you plan your itinerary!
  • One-way or roundtrip, the choice is yours.
  • In some cases, there are no direct Star Alliance flights within a zone or between two zones, so you must transit in another zone, which could make the award trip more expensive. Transfer may never be made in a zone more expensive than the destination zone.
  • Business Class and First class not available on all routes.
  • One award is permitted between maximum two zones, with transfer (of less than 24 hours) in a third zone that must be equally or less expensive than the destination zone.
  • A maximum of 8 flight coupons (segments) are permitted per award.
  • Awards are subject to availability.
  • The traveler must pay any applicable charges, such as airport taxes or fuel charges.
  • Government imposed taxes and fees are not included in the points level, and are the responsibility of the member.

Man blir ju så trött, skulle boka en F award till asien i Fredags men fick inte tid. Nu blev det plötsligt 10,000 dyrare ...
 
Hur räknar man egentligen kostnaden för zoner? Är det kostnaden för resan från avreseorten till en zon som är kostnaden?

Jag funderar även på hur det kan gå ihop att man får göra transfer i en tredje zon vilket kan göra resan dyrare, men samtidigt får man inte göra transfer i en zon som är dyrare än destinationen. Jag borde nog veta detta, men jag gör inte det... :( Har inte bokat allt för många awards, bara tjänat en massa poäng.
 
Även om One-way Star Alliance awar är 60% av t&r, men det finns en bra detalj om man vill utnyttja maximalt. :)
