Japan Airlines pilot greps i London pga för hög alkoholhalt i kroppen och flighten blev försenad

En Japan Airlines (JAL) pilot åkte fast på alkoholkotroll på London Heathrow och flighten blev försenad.
Piloten hade 9 gånger större alkoholhalt i kroppen än vad som är tillåten för en pilot som ska köra flygplan.


Det som är oroande i den här incidenten är, att fyllan inte upptäcktes vid JALs egna kontroll.
Enligt japansk media, busschauffören som skjutsade flygbesättningarna till flygplanet märkte att en av piloterna luktade sprit och därför busschauffören larmade till myndigheterna.

Japan Airlines Co. said Thursday one of its pilots was arrested by British police for drinking alcohol before a flight from London to Tokyo, leaving the airline to operate the flight with two pilots rather than the normal three.

JAL said the level of alcohol in the 42-year-old copilot’s system sharply exceeded the legal limit in Britain after drinking two bottles of wine and five cans of beer for six hours from 6 p.m. the night before the flight to Haneda airport.
