Jamie Oliver to open flagship restaurant at Gatwick Airport

Jamie Oliver’s The Dine, a celebrated name in airport gastronomy, made its Gatwick debut as only the second outpost after its flagship in London’s Leicester Square. Since opening in August 2017, the restaurant has redefined airport dining with a curated menu inspired by American comfort classics, crafted with Jamie’s signature focus on fresh, sustainable ingredients.

Accommodating up to 278 guests, The Dine stands among the largest culinary destinations at Gatwick. The atmosphere is both lively and inviting, offering travelers a sophisticated yet relaxed environment to enjoy elevated home-style fare before departure.

Signature menu highlights include:

Superfood Breakfast: Gently poached free-range eggs, tender baby spinach, a medley of ancient grains and pulses, creamy smashed avocado, and artisanal toasted nuts and seeds

Indulgent Chocolate Pancakes: Decadent chocolate-studded pancakes, caramelized banana, and honey-roasted pecans

Oliver’s Ultimate Burger: Premium beef patty, thick-cut maple-glazed bacon, house-made bourbon-infused burger sauce, Sparkenhoe Red Leicester cheese, and signature quick-pickled vegetables

Super Corn & Quinoa Salad: Flame-charred corn, protein-rich quinoa, ripe avocado, tangy feta, Alphonso mango, sweet baby plum tomatoes, zesty lime-garlic dressing, and crispy maple bacon

For those in transit, the innovative grab-and-go deli section offers a swift solution. Travelers can select from fresh superfood wraps, vibrant salads, or Jamie Oliver-inspired burritos, with fillings such as slow-cooked pulled meats, smoked beans, wholesome grains or quinoa, creamy avocado, low-fat yogurt, and Jamie’s signature secret chili sauce.

Reflecting on the Gatwick launch, Jamie Oliver remarked: “I’m thrilled to bring my diner concept to Gatwick’s South Terminal, creating a sanctuary for travelers seeking honest, delicious food. Airports are bustling spaces, so our aim is to offer a welcoming retreat where guests can unwind, enjoy quality cuisine, and kick off their travels in style. Whether you’re staying for a full meal or a quick bite, everyone’s invited.”

He added: “We’re elevating the standard for airport dining. Expect the comfort food you crave, made with the best sustainable produce. There’s a wealth of nourishing options, plus some indulgent treats—each dish crafted to deliver bold, satisfying flavors.”

Jamie Oliver’s The Dine continues to draw acclaim at Gatwick’s South Terminal, setting a benchmark in airport hospitality since its opening.

In related news, Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food at Heathrow Terminal 5 has also undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, reopening to travelers with an enhanced menu and refreshed interiors.
