Built between 1968 and 1970, the
in
is recognised as one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. A stunning example of post-war Modernist architecture, the hotel is today benefitting from a recent renovation that has raised the 5-star property up another notch.
The hotel - which in the past has hosted VIPs including Steve McQueen, Freddie Mercury and Muhammad Ali - is reclaiming its heydey by offering some of the most ostentatious accommodations in the city. Not least, its jaw-dropping eight-bedroom ‘Royal Residence’, which, at over 21,000 square feet, is the largest suite in the whole of Europe.
The royalty-worthy suite sprawls across three wings of the iconic building’s top floor and incorporates a number of bedrooms, a tranquil Oriental Lounge, an 18-person dining room, and a huge wraparound terrace.
Designed to offer guests utmost privacy and convenience, the suite also comes complete with a private chef and butler, a strongroom, and its own private elevators which will whisk guests down to a private car park where a Rolls-Royce will be waiting to chauffeur them wherever they wish to go.
The elevators also provide private access to the property’s Michelin-star Ecco Zürich restaurant, where guests can savour chef Stefan Heilemann’s gorgeous tasting menu.
Set in its own extensive grounds, the Atlantis by Giardino also has two pools - one outdoor (heated) and one indoor - a comprehensive spa, another restaurant, two bars, and flexible meeting space for meetings and events.
