The Singita brand is arguably the most well-known when it comes to

luxury safari lodges

. And, after recently renovating its

Lebombo Lodge

in 2016, its sister property - the stunning

Singita Sweni Lodge

- has also now received a stylish makeover.

The luxury lodge, which shares a 33,000-acre private concession in South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park with the Lebombo Lodge, has been restyled with a vibrant colour scheme replacing a rather tired, hunter-green and traditional African decor.

The more contemporary look reinvigorates the six-room lodge, with a touch of glamour complementing the surrounding impressively wild landscape.

Unveiling its new look last month, the new Singita Sweni has taken inspiration from the lodge's leafy location on a lush riverbank surrounded by ancient trees. Its rich palette mimics the bursts of colour found in nature.

There is also a revamped dining experience and show kitchen, a new outdoor dining deck, and an indoor dining area. Other additions include the Marble Bar and lounge, a sparkling new pool with views over the Sweni River, a fire pit and viewing deck, and a secluded new Pool Suite.

Each of the lodge’s 6 contemporary suites, which all have panoramic game-viewing decks, have been restructured to maximise open-plan living. The new Pool Suite features the unique inclusion of a private swimming pool and shaded riverfront deck.

All suites also have outdoor showers that overlook the river and outdoor day beds where you can spend a night under the stars. With the lodge’s close proximity to the Sweni River, this means guests are treated to exceptional up-close sightings of the wildlife that wander down to drink.

The local area is also home to large numbers of elephant, leopard, lion, rhino, buffalo, and hippopotamus, as well as a myriad of other species.
