Shangri-La, together with Concorde Arch, will open the first Hotel Jen in Kuala Lumpur in 2019.
As part of Shangri-La’s “fresh, friendly and fuss-free” mid-range brand, Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur will be the second Jen hotel in Malaysia, following the signing of the four-star Hotel Jen Kota Kinabalu in Borneo in September 2015. Located at the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan P Ramleehe, the hotel will be in close proximity to a number of landmarks in Kuala Lumpur - just 800 metres from the Petronas Twin Towers and 300 metres from the KL Tower - and is expected to attract both business and leisure travellers. Greg Dogan, president and CEO of Shangri-La, said: “The announcement of Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur reinforces our interest and expansion in Malaysia, in the country’s capital city, where we will now increase the group’s presence with our third hotel and newest brand Hotel Jen”. The 36 storey, 200-room hotel will offer an all-day-dining restaurant and lounge, a Rooftop Sky Bar with infinity pool, meeting rooms and a Club Lounge. Hotel Jen is currently located in Beijing, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Maldives, Manila, Penang, Johor, Shenyang and Singapore.
