During a high-profile event in Berlin, Qatar Airways’ CEO Akbar Al Baker announced the airline’s strategic purchase of its first international hotel property: the Sheraton Skyline London Heathrow. This landmark acquisition marks a significant expansion of Qatar Airways’ hospitality footprint, bringing the iconic Sheraton Skyline under the Oryx brand umbrella.
Although Starwood Sheraton will continue to oversee daily management, the hotel is now rebranded as the Oryx Sheraton Skyline London Heathrow. Industry insiders are closely watching how Qatar Airways will infuse its signature service philosophy into the guest experience. London remains a cornerstone in Qatar Airways' global network, currently boasting up to seven daily departures from Heathrow, including the flagship Airbus A380 service.
Conveniently situated on Bath Road, just north of Heathrow Airport, the property offers streamlined shuttle services to all five terminals. The hotel features 350 elegantly appointed rooms, including club-level accommodations with exclusive lounge privileges. Guests can indulge in five distinctive bars, restaurants, and cafés, while the celebrated Sky Garden provides a tranquil indoor oasis complete with a heated swimming pool.
