Malaysia Airlines has unveiled the first A330-300 aircraft to be fitted with its new business class seats.
The first A330 flight with the new product on board took off yesterday from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney after a launch event officiated by Malaysia Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmons.
Malaysia Airlines' new business class seat on board A330-300 The new seat has a pitch of 44 inches (111cm), with a width of 20 inches (60cm) and a fully-flat length of 76 inches (193cm). Of the 27 business class seats on boars the newly configured A330, all but three will have direct aisle access due to the 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 seat layout. The seats, which have been “carefully designed with the passenger’s comfort and needs in mind,” also come with a 16-inch touch screen in-flight entertainment system and extra stowage space for personal items.

The Business Class cabin refurbishment will be carried out in stages on all 15 of Malaysia Airlines’ A330 aircraft by September 2016.” “With the launch of our new seats, we are confident that Malaysia Airlines will be the first choice for travel to, from and around Malaysia. We are also confident that these seats will further improve and strengthen our premium product and service offerings.”
Malaysia Airlines' new business class seat on board A330-300 The new Business Class seats are available on Malaysia Airlines’ A330 flights between Kuala Lumpur and Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, China and India from March 2016 onwards. The newly configured A330 will also have 263 economy class seats on board.
