Norwegian launches three new long-haul routes between Paris and the US
Norwegian will launch new long-haul routes from Paris to New York on July 29, to Los Angeles on July 30, and to Fort Lauderdale on August 4.
Europe’s third largest low-cost airline will operate four weekly flights from Paris (CDG) to New York (JFK), two weekly flights to Los Angeles (LAX) and a weekly departure to Fort Lauderdale (FLL). They are Norwegian's first routes from Charles de Gaulle airport. The company currently flies from Paris Orly Airport to several Scandinavian destinations. During the three years since the Norwegian's long-haul aircraft took off for the first time, the airline has increased its offering to 38 direct routes between the United States and Europe. “We already provide nonstop services from London, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. The choice of Paris as our fifth European long-haul capital clearly underlines our commitment to France. Paris is one of Europe’s main gateways, and we see great potential to expand at Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in the future, adding more long-haul routes as well as more frequencies,” said CEO Bjørn Kjos. Norwegian was last year named the most fuel efficient airline across the Atlantic by the International Council on Clean Transportation. Norwegian unveiled several new long-haul routes in spring 2016: Oslo - Boston, Copenhagen - Boston, London - Boston and London - San Francisco.
