New Amsterdam Hotel offers Luxury Suites in a Crane

Plenty of luxury hotels offer unique experiences, but we’re guessing you’ve never spent the night in a crane.

That’s right, a luxury hotel has opened up shop in a construction crane. Offering three plush suites, which come far-reaching views as standard, the new

Crane Hotel Faralda

is a quirky addition to Amsterdam’s diverse luxury hotel scene.  

The Crane Hotel Faralda is a brainchild of the same eccentric hotelier that put a hotel in a lifeboat,

Edwin Kornmann Rudi.

And he’s not the first to think of putting one in a crane. In fact, The Faralda is the second crane hotel in The Netherlands.

Free Spirit Suite The hotel boasts just three suites, each well-appointed and comfortable. The top suite, named Free Spirit, at the pinnacle of the hotel, even has its own hot tub 35 metres above the ground. The suite consists of two floors. The first floor is the spacious living area, with a private bathroom.

A lack of space at the hotel

 means there’s no spa, restaurant, or even a traditional reception, but thrill-seeking guests are able to bungee jump from the top of the crane if they got bored.

Mystique Suite Not one for those with a fear of heights, but a winner in the books of those who are brave enough to brace the vertigo.
