Marriott opens first 5-star hotel in Minsk

Marriott International has opened its second hotel in Belarus with the addition of Minsk Marriott Hotel, the capital’s first 5-star hotel.

The Minsk Marriott Hotel is located on the Svisloch riverside, within a new sports and entertainment complex which houses a state-of-the-art sports arena for 3,000 people, cafes and bars, a gym, wellness centre, tennis and squash academy, and a cinema.

The hotel’s 217 guest rooms, including 25 suites, are designed with a “spacious and upgraded look” that reflects elements of the hotel’s locale and Belarusian heritage, including hand-made wall finishings and natural colours and materials. Many of the rooms offer balconies and panoramic riverside views.

In way of food and beverage options, the property is home to Fornello, a Mediterranean restaurant with a summer terrace, private dining area for 10 people and an open kitchen with chef’s table; and Barrel Bar, which features authentic colonial style interiors and serves signature drinks.

Meetings and events can be held within the hotel’s 940 m2 of meeting space, including the impressive Falcon Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 600 people.
