A new upscale beach resort is set to open in Krabi later this year.

Owner-operator Aonang Ville has scheduled a soft-opening of 'The Shellsea' on November 1st. The resort will be located on an isolated beach adjacent to Krabi’s Shell Fossil Beach. Bookings will open at the beginning of August. Aonang Ville also owns and operates the Aonang Villa Resort, one of the longest established resorts on Aonang Beach, Krabi’s main tourist hub.

Chatchawan Pankudrua, general manager of Aonang Ville, commented: “This is a very exclusive part of Krabi and our beachfront location, along with the proximity to the world-famous Shell Fossil Beach, gives us a great advantage in attracting guests. Our sister resort at Aonang opened almost 30 years ago and consistently enjoys the highest occupancy rates in Krabi, so we are very confident in the potential for The Shellsea.”

Shell Fossil Beach The beachfront property will offer 72 rooms, 12 villas and a Grand Villa - which is set directly on the beach and has its own pool. Facilities include a lap pool, family pool, kids’ club, spa, fitness centre, restaurants, a beach bar and water sports. Guests will also have access to a 300-metre-long beach that is linked directly to Shell Fossil Beach.
