Jumeirah Group to operate Istanbul's $450m Sea Pearl

Turkey’s Kuzu Group has appointed Jumeirah Group to operate a mixed-use development in the Ataköy district of Istanbul, Turkey.

Jumeirah Group, which currently operates Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah in Istanbul, as well as Jumeirah Bodrum Palace on the Bodrum coast, has now signed an agreement to manage Istanbul's $450m (£313m) Sea Pearl development, which is anticipated to open in 2019 The urban resort will include a luxury 202-room Jumeirah hotel and 62 private residences managed under the Jumeirah brand. It will boast unrestricted views of the Marmara Sea and will offer a “sense of peace and tranquility,” whilst also being in close proximity to Istanbul’s historical centre and Atatürk International Airport.

The hotel will feature rooms and various suite categories from 47 to 430 square-metres, while the residences will range from 57 square-metres (one bedroom) to 400 square-metres (five bedroom). This prestigious development also includes a significant conference hall, a VIP Club facility, a business centre, a large sports complex, spa and Turkish hammam, an indoor-outdoor swimming pool, a shopping arcade and several food and beverage facilities, including a seafront dining area.
