The Peninsula Restaurant, located in the InterContinental London – The O2 on the Greenwich Peninsula, has been awarded two AA Rosettes in recognition of the culinary might of talented head chef, Tomas Lidakevicius, and his team.
Neighbouring the O2 Arena, one of the world’s most popular live music venues, InterContinental’s second property in London opened earlier this year, contributing two new restaurants (The Peninsula Restaurant and Market Brasserie), two bars, and a tea salon to the area’s blossoming dining scene.
Tomas joined Peninsula Restaurant eight months later, with his unique skill for balancing expert techniques with the very best seasonal produce having an immediate effect on the restaurant and its cuisine.

Tomas’s menu is inspired by modern and European cuisine, whilst paying homage to the restaurant’s location in the historic Royal Borough of Greenwich and the spice trade which once passed through East London’s docks.
Complementing the hotel’s informal all-day dining restaurant, Market Brasserie, the Peninsula is the sort of fine dining restaurant you would expect from a quality five-star hotel such as this one. With floor to ceiling windows looking out over the River Thames and Canary Wharf, Peninsula Restaurant is elegant, charming, with food that’s on offer is rarely short of exceptional. The Peninsula seats up to 80 guests
When commenting on his achievement, Tomas Lidakevicius said that while he is thrilled with the recognition within just a few months of opening, he and his team won’t be resting on their laurels and will continue to look into ways to further experiment with flavours to create “spellbinding tastes” and an “unforgettable culinary journey.“
The InterContinental London – The O2 has 453 guest rooms, a luxury Spa with 17m pool and eight treatment rooms, as well as Clipper Bar, Eighteen Sky Bar and the ground floor Meridian Lounge with riverside terrace.
