Hotel Royal Savoy, Lausanne - open after renovations

During the last five years, Lausanne’s five star Hotel Royal Savoy has undergone extensive renovations and a 100 million Swiss francs (£67 million) investment. It reopened this June with some attractive features.

Since its inauguration in 1909 the hotel has been a iconic figure in Lausanne and has seen its fair share of aristocracy and celebrities, including the royal family of Spain who lived in the hotel while in exile.

Hotel Royal Savoy, Lausanne - Lobby The rejuvenated 196-room hotel features the largest hotel ballroom in the city, a terrace restaurant with room for 120 guests, an elegant Lounge bar for 60 guests, cigar lounge, rooftop terrace and spa. The hotel also has 1200 square metres of conferences space, including five meeting rooms and the largest hotel ballroom in Lausanne with seating for up to 485 guests.

Hotel Royal Savoy, Lausanne - Ballroom The Royal Spa is open to hotel guests and visitors alike. The 1500 square metre spa includes an indoor/outdoor pool, 8 treatment rooms, a large selection of signature spa products and beauty treatments, a separate ladies area, two private spas and a 24/7 fitness facility with state-of- the-art cardio and fitness equipment.
