Last Monday, Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, unveiled its new Airbus A330-300, equipped with its new "Super Diamond Business Class Seat”.
Garuda also presented its 10th Boeing 777-300ER on the same day. The new business class seat is part of the airline’s fleet revitalisation program that will see 16 new aircraft delivered to the Garuda Indonesia Group throughout 2016. The Airbus A330-300, with its Super Diamond Seat Business Class, is the first of four Airbus A330-300s that will be delivered in 2016, while the Boeing 777-300ER is the last to be delivered following an order of ten made in 2013. Garuda Indonesia A330-300 Garuda’s Airbus A330-300 can fly non-stop for 12-hours and has capacity for 287 passengers, consisting of 24 ‘Super Diamond’ business class seats and 263 economy class seats. The Super Diamond Seat is focused on enhancing both comfortability and privacy, a press release said. Business class on Garuda’s A330 is configured an a 1-2-1 formation, meaning all passengers have direct access to the aisle. The new seat converts to a fully-flat bed with a width of 24" and a length of 82”. Each seat is fitted with a 16" LCD touch-screen Panasonic Ex3 inflight entertainment system; a touch-screen handset/remote; double USB plug and power socket; adjustable arm-rest, head-rest, meal table and reading light; and a new mini bar display.

Meanwhile, the 10th Boeing 777-300ER delivered to Garuda Indonesia is configured with 393 seats, 26 in business class and 367 in economy class. Six out of ten Boeing 777-300ERs operated by Garuda Indonesia are equipped with a First Class cabin, with 8 First Class seats, 38 Business Class seats and 268 Economy Class seats.
