The resort - the only one on the 402 hectares, sparsely populated island - opened at the start of March. It is billed as the quintessential tropical escape, offering every modern comfort and luxury, and plenty to keep today’s modern traveller busy.
Reached by a scenic 35-minute flight from the international airport on Mahé island, t
he island features 14 kilometres of perfect white-sand beaches, with a plenty of secluded groves for a private sunbathing session.
The resort is an intimate property, featuring 40 chic beach suites and bungalows complete with private plunge pools, indoor-outdoor bathrooms, and a rustic, desert island aesthetic.
There are also 11 private residence villas dotted along the island’s beaches. These feature three, four, or five bedrooms, a full kitchen, as well as a dedicated butler.
There is no getting away from the highlight of the property, however, which is its natural setting. The island is teeming with
verdant coconut groves, untouched reefs, and untold species of local wildlife.
Guests can explore this exotic environment by signing up to guided snorkelling or scuba diving excursions, helping out at the island’s Giant Tortoise Sanctuary, and cycling or hiking to one of the island’s tiny villages where they can meet with locals and discover more about the island’s rich history.
After all that excitement, you’ll no doubt want to spend some time at the plush Circle of Connection Spa, which offers an extensive menu of treatments designed to calm, refresh, and detoxify. The property will also be opening a state-of-the-art anti-gravity yoga pavilion sometime soon.
