Emirates' Swanky New Onboard Bar

Emirates has released images of its classy new onboard bar, which is to be installed on its flagship Airbus A380 fleet.

The rather attractive (especially for Emirates’ usual glitzy taste) lounge and bar is part of a series of new cabin products and enhancements set for the airline’s A380 and Boeing 777 fleet this year, including a new First Class product, which will be presented

at the ITB Berlin in a few weeks.

The new onboard bar will make its operational debut in July 2017, along with any new products, presumably.

Inspired by private yacht cabins, the bar is a glamorous improvement from the previous one, but retaining the same horseshoe-shape. There is more seating space with new seating arrangements along the windows on both sides of the bar, both with a table and window view. All in all, the lounge can “comfortably” accommodate up to 26 passengers at a time, including 8 seated.

The lounge will be separated from the rest of the cabin by soundproof curtains. It will also feature ambient lighting options, new window blinds with integrated LED mood lighting, subwoofers for surround sound, and a 55 inch LCD screen showing the latest flight information or live news or sports.

The lounge is located on the upper deck of the A380, just as Emirates’ current onboard lounges are, and is for First and Business Class passengers.

Eagerness for the unveiling of Emirates’ upgraded First Class on its A380 is growing with the ITB Berlin just around the corner, and if this swanky new bar is anything to go by, the product could be quite a notable addition to the ever-refining industry of luxury air travel.
