Emirates Airlines will add a third daily flight between Dubai and Munich, one of its four destinations in Germany, in February
From February 1, 2016, the UAE airline will offer a third daily rotation between its base in Dubai and Munich airport, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER with 8 first class seats, 42 business class and 310 economy. The flight will take off from Dubai at 3:20 and arrive in Munich at 7.10. The return will depart from Bavaria at 10.10 with arrival in Dubai at 19:10. It will join current services EK049/050 and EK051/052, both operated by Airbus A380s. With this new route, Emirates is in direct competition with Lufthansa, and indirectly with Etihad Airways, Oman Air and Qatar Airways. Emirates Airlines inaugurated the A380 flights to Munich in November 2011 and the city will eventually be served by only superjumbos. Emirates also fly A380s to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, with Hamburg Airport the only German destination left out.
