With Euro 2016 kicking off this evening in France, travelling sports fans flying with Emirates won’t miss any of the action as the Gulf airline is adding a second dedicated sports channel to its onboard offerings.
Available on over 90 of the airline’s Boeing 777 aircraft, Sports 24 Extra will complement the existing Sports 24 channel to offer double the live sports coverage on Emirates’ in-flight entertainment system, ICE Digital Widescreen.
Sports 24 Extra and Sports 24 will offer live matches and coverage of the much anticipated top sporting events this summer including UEFA Euro 2016, NBA, Formula 1, Wimbledon, US Open and Moto GP. The two channels will also provide live coverage of the Rio 2016 Olympics this August, the world’s largest sporting event. For those travelling on the airline’s A380 aircraft, free WiFi will allow them to log on and catch the latest updates and highlights of their favourite sport.
