Crete's new benchmark in luxury accommodation - ‘The Mansion’

Daios Cove Luxury Resort and Villas, on the beautiful Greek island of Crete, has officially opened ‘The Mansion’ – a new exclusive villa which comes complete with outdoor infinity pool, indoor pool, in-house spa and staff quarters.

New photos of the property showcase 600sqm of light and airy living space set over three floors, plus 300sqm of outdoor living. The three-bedroom hideaway, which is set on the north-east shores of the island, takes inspiration from the spectacular setting of Daios Cove.

The Mansion’s design and layout make the most of the abundant natural light available – huge floor to ceiling windows line the airy building, meaning guests can enjoy the incredible views from almost any point in the room. The interiors are fresh and modern. Light, natural woods line the floors, white marble creates a sense of space, while glass also dominates.

Designer furniture has been hand-picked and includes unique pieces from world-famous contemporary brands B&B Italia and Maxalto. Designer lighting from Catellani & Smith and Occhio provides warm and intimate lighting for cocktails and private evening meals.

The Mansion comes complete with staff quarters, should guests wish to make the most of Crete’s glorious natural produce and cuisine by utilising a chef to combine fresh ingredients in the fully equipped kitchen. While the property boasts three beautiful bedrooms - two with walk-in wardrobes - the master bedroom is particularly impressive thanks to its ceiling-high windows with some of the best views on the island, looking out over the Aegean sea and sun-drenched cliffs surrounding the property. The bathroom houses twin sinks, a deep bathtub and huge shower cabin.

The Mansion’s prime positioning will make the 56sqm pool-with-a-view hard to leave. Early morning swims and lazy lilo sessions will be enjoyed with stunning vistas. Day beds will also be available for those looking to relax and read out by the pool.

Guests looking to really relax will adore the Mansion’s own fully equipped spa. Attractive tiles line the wall of the Starpool steam bath and 20sqm-metre heated indoor pool, while the sauna is spacious enough for several guests to enjoy at the same time.

A special spa menu is available for guests, with therapists on-hand for private facials and spa sessions in the massage area of the private spa, or in the privacy of the Mansion’s sun-drenched pool deck.

The villa also has its own gym, and guests can book personal training sessions as well as yoga and Pilates.

The Mansion is one of the newest accommodation choices to be unveiled at the five-star Daios Cove Resort on the north-east shores of Crete.
