British Airways launches flights to New Orleans and Florida
British Airways has announced two new U.S. routes week.
Services to new routes to New Orleans from Heathrow will commence on March 26, 2017, followed by flights to Fort Lauderdale from Gatwick on July 6 2017.
The first BA flights to The Big Easy in over 20 years will operate four times-weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, taking off from will be Heathrow at 15.40 and landing at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International airport at 19.40. In the opposite direction, flights will depart Louisiana at 21.10, arriving in London at 12.00 the next day.
Fares start from £599 in World Traveller, £899 in World Traveller Plus, and £1,749 in Club World.
Commenting on the new route, BA’s Director of Networks and Alliances, Sean Doyle, said the airline was “really excited” to be adding New Orleans to its network. Continuing, “It’s a city that boasts an iconic music and arts scene and plays host to more than 45 international festivals a year, including the world famous Mardi Gras”.
British Airways' thrice-weekly service from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale will become the airline’s third route Florida route from Gatwick, joining Tampa and Orlando.
Fares start from £378 in World Traveller, £895 in World Traveller Plus, and £1,699 in Club World.
