AirPortr baggage delivery now available at all Heathrow terminals

After launching its baggage delivery service at Heathrow Airport in December last year, London based travel-technology company, Portr, has now introduced the 'on-demand' service at the airport's Terminal 4, meaning it is now available at all Heathrow Terminals - Arriving and Departing.

The service, which can be booked in advance or on the day of travel, delivers passenger's bags between London locations and Heathrow, allowing passengers a luggage-free journey to or from the airport. Bags are either dropped off in the airport with an AirPortr, before being transported by a driver to their London destination. Alternatively, bags are collected from any London location and delivered to the airport at a time suited to the customer. "Our vision is to fundamentally change how people travel, putting them back in control of their own agenda rather than burdensome baggage dictating their itinerary. AirPortr is all about increasing the efficiency of your time, you know that your bags are being securely delivered, which leaves you free to make the most of your first or last day in London. We like to call it 'Luggage Freedom’,” said Chris Walsh, Director & Head of Customer Experience at Portr. The service is priced as follows: £15 to/from Heathrow Airport to the local area, £25 to/from Heathrow to Central London, and £35 to/from Heathrow to Outer London. Each additional bag costs £5 and there are no size or weight restrictions. Therefore, two bags, regardless of size or weight, costs £30 to be delivered between the airport and Central London.
