What better way to spend a Sunday than by enjoying a good old fashioned roast dinner at Glasgow’s 5-star Blythswood Square hotel?

Blythswood Square in Glasgow is bringing families together as it prepares to launch a traditional Sunday Lunch sharing menu in its fine-dining restaurant.

The classic lunch, which is available to both hotel guests and visitors, was designed by award-winning head chef Zoltan Szabo, who has honed his skills throughout a career at Cameron House and Grand Central Hotel.

Making full use of Scotland’s finest ingredients, the menu features locally sourced ingredients including succulent roast chicken (carved at your table) stuffed with old-fashioned mushroom and parsley stuffing served with duck fat roast potatoes, roasted root vegetables, Kintyre smoked cheddar cauliflower cheese, fine green beans and finished with two fluffy Yorkshire puddings, lashings of gravy and garlic and parsley sauce. Yum!

Attention has also been put on the dessert, so those with a sweet-tooth will not be disappointed with a scrumptious classic British dessert pudding to share.

In order to carry on family time, guests are invited to spend the rest of the afternoon in the Johnny Walker bar where they will find a selection of fun board games and weekend newspapers to help finish their weekend off in style.

So, while the kids are kept entertained, you can sink into the comfortable tweed sofas and relax without a thought for the washing up. “Sunday Lunch is a British institution- a time to gather family and friends; roll up your sleeves and get stuck into a delicious meal,” said Murray Thomson, general manager of Glasgow’s Blythswood Square.

“Sunday roasts are a firm favourite and are here to stay so we wanted to present a twist to this British classic lunch to the Restaurant at Blythswood Square. We pride ourselves on our use of good Scottish produce which will hopefully shine through in this spectacular summer menu.”

Blythswood Square Hotel offers 100 stylish guest rooms including a number of suites and one of Glasgow’s most spectacular penthouse suites.

Along with the restaurant, there is a pretty Salon with garden views, private dining rooms, and a private film screening room.

The Sunday Lunch menu is priced at £100 for four people and is available between midday and 4pm every Sunday from the 4th June.
