Virgin Atlantic has unveiled its fresh Autumn/Winter menu which is being served from today!
In Upper Class, the menu is a blend of British classics and international tastes. Main courses spotlight exquisite serrano ham paired with roasted squash, red onion, and feta, herbed chicken breast, and a perfectly roasted trout fillet. On the “Extra Bites” menu - a cream tea boasting sultana and white chocolate-orange scones, complemented by clotted cream, morello cherry jam, and lemon curd.
Other options include a bao bun filled with cashew satay chicken and a spiced lamb flatbread. A renewed emphasis on vegetarian and plant-based selections is evident, featuring dishes like carrot tartare with ricotta, spinach and ricotta tortellini, a warm apple-parsnip soup, and a Beyond Burger® enhanced with vegan toppings. To finish, there's Northern Bloc's new plant-based ice cream in flavours including double salted caramel and zesty lemon sorbet.
Breakfast in Upper Class has been reimagined with an A La Carte 'build-your-own' approach, including choices from yoghurts, fresh fruits, hot pastries, and gourmet cereals. An Express Breakfast, available 40 minutes before touch-down, provides options like bacon rolls or sweet pastries. New wellness beverages, including Real sparkling tea, Perfect Ted matcha, and Lo Bros kombucha, have been introduced. The curated wine list showcases selections like a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and an Italian Villa Borghetti Valpolicella Classico.
In Premium, passengers will wrestle with choices ranging from comforting chicken lasagne and a flavourful pork stew to tofu with vegetable katsu curry. A highlight is the British cheese assortment featuring vintage Cheddar, blacksticks blue, and accompaniments. The Mile High Tea offers either dessert or savoury options, such as coconut-blueberry financiers and quiche Lorraine.
On the snack menu - Upper Class and Premium offerings include gourmet crisps, fruity gummies, and an assortment of health bars.
