After six months of delay, Turkish Airlines has finally received its first delivery of Airbus A350-900.
Turkish Airlines has received its first delivery of a total of 25 ordered Airbus A350s, which are all expected to enter the fleet and be steadily deployed into existing routes. But given today's turbulent situation, it is uncertain exactly how many more aircraft the airline will receive this year.
Airbus A350 is one of the market's most energy-efficient long-distance airplane. Its efficient engines and carbon fibre-reinforced plastic materials reduce fuel consumption by 25% compared to older models.

The new aircraft can accommodate up to 329 passengers and has a two-class configuration of 32 seats in Business Class and 297 seats in Economy Class.
Turkish Airlines A350 has the new Business Class product that debuted on their 787-9 Dreamliner. The seat configuration is in 1-2-1, which allows for direct aisle access for all seats.

The Business Class seats, which are manufactured by Stelia Aerospace, can be folded fully flat and are one of the most aerodynamic models on the market with its high-tech materials.
Passengers can expect the latest in-flight entertainment system, with an 18-inch HD screen and Wi-Fi. Other benefits such as the aircraft's quiet engines, a more spacious cabin and a customised illumination system will give passengers a more comfortable experience onboard.

Turkish Airlines currently operates the airplane on short domestic routes, such as between Istanbul and Ankara. But the company has previously stated that it plans to deploy the A350 on their most lucrative routes - London and Dubai. But as more A350s are scheduled into service, we can expect to see it on more routes.
