TAP Air Portugal has opened its newest lounge at Lisbon Airport, catering to passengers on international flights outside the Schengen zone. Operating daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, the facility welcomes TAP and Star Alliance travellers, offering a venue that celebrates Portuguese culture within a 380 square metre space, designed to accommodate approximately 100 guests.
Situated just past the passport control at Humberto Delgado Airport, the TAP Premium Lounge Atlântico has been crafted by Alma Design. It aims to provide a welcoming environment for passengers to unwind and prepare for their onward travels, emphasizing Portugal's rich cultural heritage and TAP's commitment to sustainability through the use of local, eco-friendly, and genuine materials.
This lounge exemplifies TAP's continuous effort to elevate service quality, targeting passengers heading to destinations in South America, North America, Africa, or the United Kingdom.
The lounge highlights Portuguese craftsmanship with materials like cork, burel (a traditional Portuguese fabric), and tiles that mimic the iconic Portuguese house façades. Guests can enjoy work and relaxation zones, alongside a dining section providing a buffet that features Portuguese-inspired dishes available throughout the day.
Adding to the Portuguese tradition of hospitality, the lounge will host temporary exhibitions from local artists, curated by Underdogs, a Lisbon-based cultural platform for urban art. For the upcoming six months, featured artists include Raquel Belli and Pedrita Studio, known for their contemporary urban art that reinterprets Portuguese artistic traditions.
